April 2008 - Present Engineering Partners International (EPI), Inc.
Providing support to principle engineers in forensic and metallurgical projects. Working in the materials lab to gain first hand experience in metallurgical analysis and investigative engineering methods. Using FEA in the forensic area as well as the design and analysis aspects for a new abrasive environment flow meter and RFID tagging system.
2006 - 2008 CSC at NASA's Johnson Space Center Served as certified Operations Engineer for Mission Control Emergency Power Plant. Plant oversight for 8 shuttle flights for night-shift. Management of standard and special projects to upgrade the Mission Control Power Plant and the Mission Control Complex. Wrote, coordinated, and lead utility procedures for critical equipment upgrades and maintenance. Monitoring and maintenance of HVAC, emergency diesel engines, and critical UPS systems.

EDUCATION:
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Kentucky, May 2005
  • Ground crew lead for experimental micro-gravity project flown on KC-135 (Weightless Wonder airplane) partnered with Jet Propulsion Labs to examine gravitational effects on gossamer membrane structures.
